It all began with two areas of waste/neglected ground on the Paradise Housing Estate in Glastonbury that over time had become littered with the detritis of abandonment, weed killer and rubbish. One day, Sally asked the contract gardeners to stop putting weedkiller down in these two areas and to give the two areas to her to take care of. After talks with Knightstone Housing Association, it was agreed that they would support Sally's initiative to establish a community garden for butterflies, bees and other pollinators and so first of all came the clearing and cleaning. Terry dug over the ground, without him none of this could have happened. Thanks Terry - you are a star! Now cleared, we could begin to plan our community garden.
