Friday June 3rd saw us at Paradise Community Orchard planting out strawberries, tomatoes and a herb garden, all under the expert supervision of Jane Sweetman from Somerset Community Food's Get Set Grow initiative.
We learnt how to make self watering pots, how to tend and care for our fruit trees and bushes and the art of making a good compost.
We mulched a bit and then munched our way through tea and biscuits generously provided by Jacqui from Street's Community Project.
It was a heart warming, special day blessed by a visit from a small blue butterfly as our day drew to a close.
